Exceptional Education

Walnut Bend has two self-contained classrooms and one resource teacher to provide support to students that have been identified with exceptional learning needs.  These needs were identified through a referral and testing process.  June Harrison is the grade chair for exceptional education at Walnut Bend.

Speech

Cheryl Gabriel is the speech therapist at Walnut Bend.  She works with students 3 years old through 5th grade that have been identified through testing for speech support.  This support is provided through small group therapy and learning activities.
