REGISTRATION:
Registration for the 2007-2008 academic year is Monday, August
20 through Friday,
August 24, 2007, 9am-12pm and also on Thursday evening, August
23, 5pm-7pm. Registration
Requirements
In order to register, students should have the following:
birth certificate, passport, or other legal document; social
security card (optional); proof of residence (current lease
or light bill);
and immunizations. Provisional enrollment for students with an immunization record is as follows:
- A student who has all required vaccine doses for his/her appropriate age may be enrolled.
- A student has some but not all required doses and is on schedule to receive the remaining doses as fast as is medically feasible may be enrolled provisionally for 30 days.
- A student attempting to enroll, or is currently enrolled, but is delinquent with a vaccine, or a dose in a vaccine series may not be enrolled until proof of current vaccine is provided. If the student is already in rolled, the student shall be excluded until proof of current vaccine is provided.
A student's final
report card with promotion status from past school year
is required of incoming 1st to 5th graders; divorce decree
(if applicable) to verify custodial rights; special
education papers/ARD records if applicable but not a requirement.
BACK
TO SCHOOL:
The first day of school for the 2007-2008 academic year
is Monday, August 27, 2007.
SCHOOL HOURS:
School hours for students: 7:35 am - 2:45 pm. Students
who are in WB breakfast program should arrive at 7:00 AM . Students will not be allowed to enter
classrooms before 7:35 am
. All students will report to the cafeteria where their teachers will pick them up and walk them to class. Teachers will be on duty at
7:20 am
to supervise students. All students will report to the cafeteria until the first bell rings at
7:35 amwhen their teachers will pick them up and walk them to class.
After the first bell at 7:35 am, students are allowed to enter the school and must
be seated in their classrooms by
7:45
am.
WHERE TO GO ON THE FIRST DAY OF
SCHOOL:
- All students
who attended Walnut Bend Elementary the previous school
year will report
to their newly assigned classroom.
- All PreK
and Kindergarten students will report to the school
cafeteria until their teacher arrives
to get them.
- All new
students (1st through 5th grade) to Walnut Bend Elementary
will report to the Library where they will be directed
to their new class.
AGENDA BOOKS:
Agenda books will be provided to all students courtesy of
the WB Parent Teacher Organization (PTO).
Students will receive their agenda books in their
classrooms from their teachers.
SCHOOL SUPPLIES/TOOL-UP:
The PTO sponsors Tool-Up for
School as a convenient and cost efficient way for
parents to purchase school supplies. Tool-Up
for School is held each year for two to three days prior
to the first day of school. This year Tool-Up is held
on Monday, August 20 from
9 am-12 pm and on Thursday, August 24 from 9 am-12pm and
also Thursday evening, August 23 from 5pm -7pm.
If you wish to purchase supplies outside of Tool-Up, you
may also click on the links below for a complete supply
list for each grade level. In April/May 2006, these
lists will be updated and you will be able to pre-order
2006-2007 school supplies. Individual school supplies
may also be purchased in the school store which will be
open the second week of school.
