The Computer Lab is designed to teach students the fundamentals of computer technology as developed by Texas Essential Knowledge & Skills (TEKS) curriculum. Incorporated into the daily classroom curriculum, each grade level focuses on learning the following:

3rd Grade:

  • MS Word/Cut, Paste, Copy, and Spell Check
  • Navigate between 2 programs
  • Insert graphics from file and Internet
  • Excel-Create a chart/Graph
  • PowerPoint/ 8 slides
  • Surf the Internet

4th Grade:

  • Spreadsheet-Create Table
  • Graphics/ Size, rotate, and Group
  • Resize rows and columns
  • Web page surfing
  • PowerPoint/ 10 slides

5th Grade:

  • Save Across platforms
  • Insert Headers, Footers, and Date
  • Slide show 15 slides with graphics, Graph and Table
  • Burn CD’s
  • Digital media
